Horia started to climb mountains outside his country at the age of 21. Up to now, he has ascended successfully seven 8,000-meter mountains. All his ascents were carried out without supplementary oxygen and Sherpa support, expedition-style.

Horia's successful attempts include the dangerous K2, the often overlooked Annapurna and the unpredictable Dhaulagiri. These are included in Top five deadly mountains in the world*.

Horia's next expedition, which is likely to take place in 2015, will be a once in a lifetime challenge. Please follow Horia's website to stay tuned for updates.
